ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, COLLECT

School is back in session.  So that means we need to start collecting BOX TOPS for STAFFORD!!!

We will be counting box tops once every six weeks this year.  They will be collected by grade level, and every six weeks the top collecting grade level will win a BOX TOP PARTY sponsored by one of our local businesses!

Counting will start over at the beginning of each 6 weeks.

So everyone needs to keep their scissors ready to collect all the box tops they can!  Remember to ask your family and neighbors to help you!!  Once you fill up a collection sheet you can turn to your teacher and be entered in the drawings we do at the end of the 6 weeks as well.

We also want to thank the local businesses that are sponsoring our parties this year:

Italy Auto

Dairy Queen

Trinity Mission

C.D.L. Help

Uptown Cafe

Insignah

Thanks you all for your support!!  ~ Stafford Elementary

Stafford Elementary wishes to invite all parents to take a very active part in their child's educational activities.  Students whose parents are more involved in a positive way have academic achievement rates a full 30 percent higher than other students, according to 25 recent research studies.  We have been very fortunate to have much positive parental support and involvement.  We are disappointed in our TAKS accountability rating, but are already working on carrying out our plans for improvement.   Our goal is to be an Exemplary Campus again, but we need positive parental support to help make this happen.  The staff of Stafford Elementary wishes to thank our students' parents for all they have done and encourage continued involvement.
